HOHNER Launches New Marine Band Deluxe!
Hohner Introduces the New Marine Band Deluxe!
The Marine Band Deluxe (ITEM # M2005) will be officially launched in the U.S. at the Summer NAMM show in Indianapolis.
For more than 100 years, the Marine Band has been the favorite harmonica of artists like Little Walter, Paul Butterfield, Mickey Raphael, and Kim Wilson. Ever since 1896, discerning professional harmonica players in search of an unmistakable and unique sound have played the Hohner Marine Band as their instrument of choice.
The new Marine Band Deluxe combines the features of the legendary harmonica with a variety of state-of-the-art improvements that can best be described as a modified version of the Marine Band Classic. In comparison, the Marine Band Deluxe optimizes all the great characteristics of the original classic Marine Band in a player friendly harmonica. Our goal was to offer a contemporary ten hole diatonic with the long, successful history that players associate with the Marine Band legacy.
We have developed state-of-the-art improvements, which include optimized handling to ensure greater volume & faster response while retaining the richness and power of the Hohner Classic Sound.
The key features and benefits of the Marine Band Deluxe include the following:
• The classic Marine Band sound.
• Improved cover design for greater volume and enhanced stability
• Assembled with 3 reed plate screws and 4 cover screws to maximize air tightness and facilitate maintenance (which make it service friendly)
• Sealed pear wood comb for greater volume and faster response
• Rounded channel openings and outer corners for greater playing comfort
• Available in 13 keys: F low, F# low, G, Ab, A, Bb, B, C, Db, D, Eb, E, F
