FALLBROOK – Conductor Greg Magie makes his Fallbrook debut and soprano Angel Joy Blue will do an encore performance here at the Fallbrook Music Society's annual Symphony Pops on the Green tonight.
The 20th annual concert will be at the Grand Tradition.
"It is a wonderful way to introduce young people to symphonic music," said Brenda Montiel, Fallbrook Music Society President.
The program will feature John Williams' "The Empire Strikes Back" from his "Star Wars" soundtrack, the classic Sousa march "Stars and Stripes Forever," the "Armed Forces Salute" by Lowden, Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" Overture, and the "Toreador Song" and other selections from Bizet's opera "Carmen."
In addition to his position as assistant conductor with the Redlands Symphony, Magie has conducted the Pasadena Lyric Opera, the Pomona College Orchestra and the Graceland University Orchestra.
